Road Media

Road Media is an award-winning partnership that specializes in all forms of travel and wildlife media, from stock photography and graphic design, to newspaper and magazine features, to books and Emmy-nominated television documentaries. Based in the bushveld town of Hoedspruit in South Africa’s Limpopo Province, the partnership comprises husband-and-wife-team, Adrian Bailey (photographer) and Robyn Keene-Young (writer). These passionate conservationists have dedicated the past fifteen years to capturing Africa’s wildlife and wild places in intimate words and images. Working out of remote bush camps for months on end, they excel in researching and documenting their subjects in the field.

Road Media’s expertise extends to multiple aspects of blue chip television documentary production including: research, pre-production, budgets and accounting, cinematography, sound recording and sound design, scriptwriting, editing and directing.

Together, the pair has produced seven books on Africa. Both served as associate editors of South Africa’s Getaway magazine for several years.

Robyn’s nature and travel writing has featured in Smithsonian, Condé Nast Traveller, Natural History and BBC Wildlife magazines amongst others. In 2000, she co-wrote the script for George & the Rhino, an award-winning one-hour documentary for Discovery Channel. Robyn holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees.

Adrian’s natural history photography has been published in the world’s leading periodicals including GEO, Smithsonian, National Geographic (Netherlands & Italy), Natural History, The Washington Post Magazine and BBC Wildlife. Adrian holds a Masters degree in Architecture.
